Recent beauty purchases.

It's been quite a while since I've written a haul-style post. Basically I've been really lazy. I've just forgotten to photograph things when I've bought them, and I have bought a lot lately! Especially clothing, boy have I bought a lot of clothing. I wasn't too sure that anyone would be interested in my fashion posts or clothing hauls, but this is something I'll probably have more time to do when I'm in Munich. I'll have my own photographer all the time! Woohoo.

So here are a few bits and pieces that I picked up from Superdrug recently. They had a 3 for 2 offer on L'Oreal products, and I really wanted to pick up their mineral True Match foundation. I have used this product before, years ago, and absolutely hated it with a passion. I'm not sure whether it was because I used the brush that came with the mineral foundation and applied far too much at the time, or whether I just didn't like the coverage, but I've decided to give it a go. I would have popped into Leeds and had a look at the Bare Minerals counter but I don't particularly fancy paying so much for mineral foundation at the moment so we shall see if we can get this working on my skin. Considering the cost of the foundation (£14.99! WHAT?!) I thought I might as well take advantage of the 3 for 2 and pick up a few more bits. I tried one of the Nude Magique CC creams before and I didn't really like it, but I thought I would give it another go, this one is meant to disguise dull skin. And finally I picked up a GlamShine. I can't remember which shade I bought but the photo makes it look very pink when in fact it's quite darker and looks more like a nude dusky pink shade. I like it a lot

Lastly, and a completely unrelated purchase is Philip Kingsley's Elasticizer. I've seen a lot of bloggers use it and rate it very highly, and whilst watching QVC they had me sold. I wasn't buying a massive tub of the stuff for like £60 so I had a quick look on eBay and managed to pick one up for a few quid. My hair is in really bad condition again from bleaching it then deciding I didn't like the colour, and then dying it brown again, what a disaster. I'm hoping this makes the world of difference!

  1. Great post, honey!

I love the Elasticizer! I must buy more - thanks for reminding me!

You do make me laugh ' I didn't like this product, but I'm buying it again and basically going to MAKE IT WORK!!!!' haha determination!!
I just don't get on with most L'oreal products - not sure why. Although their liquid lipsticks are pretty awesome. Let me 'borrow' that Glam Shine one next time I see you - and, ahem, BLEACHING HAIR??!?!?!? What colour are you gonna go? Catch up needed xxxxx

    1. Haha but the thing is this time around it's working really well! I know a little more about beauty now and make up brushes so I've switched them around and it's given me a lot better coverage!
Yeah I bleached it blonde a few weeks ago and decided I really couldn't be bothered trying to get it platinum and dealing with the upkeep so I totally decided to put a brown dye back on and leave it be haha x
