Le tour de France | Silsden

I think we are really lucky that in Yorkshire we are holding the grand depart of the Tour de France. I'm even luckier that part of the tour will be coming through a local village near me, and my town too. Not so lucky that all the roads near me have been close for two days and that I won't be able to get out tomorrow, although I shall try and get some shots of the bike riders themselves as they come through. Whilst out and about the other day taking a trip to Bolton Abbey (more to come on that later) we drove through Silsden, a little village near to where I live, and they had gone the whole hog and decorated for the Tour de France. It looks absolutely amazing so I know I had to stop and take a few shots. It's lovely to see the community get really excited!

  1. I'm not to far from Bolton Abbey, but they are shutting a section of roads near my partners work - we're right on the boarder of Yorkshire x
