Poundland Pleasantries

It's very rare that I head into Poundland unless there is something I'm looking for, normally Weight Watchers cooking sauces or hair products on offer. But after a visit from my blogger buddies Kel and Kieron (in which we had an amazing afternoon tea, post to follow soon!), Kel asked if I'd seen any OPI nail polishes in there and myself, not knowing that Poundland actually sold anything half decent, had no clue about this. So we decided to pay a little visit and see what we could find!

This is where I stumbled upon a mini-haven of Rimmel products. I never knew they sold stuff like this! So obviously I got a little excited. They had a lot of eyeshadows which weren't really up my street, so I opted to buy a product in their Wake Me Up range; Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in 002 Radiant Rose. I'm presuming this can be used both as a highlighter and a blusher, but don't hold me to that

After a little more investigation, I saw a few products which to me looked like the Johnson's Clean & Clear range. They had face wash, exfoliator and a mattifying moisturiser. I haven't really seen a matt moisturiser just for oily skin (although the product says all skin types) so I thought I would buy it and see what it was like, all good for a quid right?
Well I was instantly amazed.
I've only used it three times but I've noticed it matches up to my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel. You only need a small amount to apply to your face after your usual skin regime. It kept my skin moisturised and oil free for the whole entirety it's been on, and my skin hasn't broken out or anything. I think this might be a holy grail of a find for me, and it definitely saves me spending £28 a go on a moisturiser. Actually, I'm going to pop back to Poundland tomorrow morning and see if I can pick up any more before they sell out!

So what do you think to my finds?
Have you ever found any amazing products in Poundland?
