Etude House: Dr. Oil Primer

I used to be quite hesitant of trying primers as I have really oily skin, and when I used to apply primer and foundation my face became a bit of an oil slick. That was until I found this primer by Etude House. Now I must admit I am a bit of a hoarder and fan when it comes to Asian cosmetics!

Etude House is a popular Korean brand who do cosmetics and skin care products. I've come across a few of their stores on my travels; in China and Thailand. However, I hadn't noticed this product in store at the time, so after a generalise browse on the internet I came across this on eBay for around £11. (Yes I know this is a little overpriced as it probably costs around £6 in store).

Dr Oil Solution Shine Free Dual Primer claims to be a moisturiser and primer in one, with an added thicker primer for open pores and what not. Having been a little daunted at trying a primer, I thought I would go with it as oil free seems a good idea on my horrendous skin!

I must admit this is now my current go-to product. I was really surprised how thin the primer is, and how it soaks in extremely well leaving a silky matt finish for a fantastic base. The smaller thicker primer was really useful as a filler for blocked pores on my nose, and the mirror is a great finish for added detail.

A few hours on, covered in foundation, I had no problems. My skin didn't feel clogged up and I definitely wasn't an oil slick. I felt it held my make up all day with no problems.

I also really love the pastel packaging, but I generally love anything that comes from Etude House!

Pros: great for oily skin, handy sized, a little goes a long way
Cons: probably the price for buying online, not really useful unless you need this product!

Do you use a primer regularly? How do you feel about Asian cosmetics?
